When is the right time to have a new door installed?

when should you install a new door

The leaves are falling, and the temperature is starting to cool from a blazing September marking the end of summer. As daylight savings time comes to an end, it may be the best time to replace the doors in your house. Whether it be a door that sticks, a loud front door that shakes the house when shut, or simply an old door in need of replacing, October is one of the best months to go through with it!

You’ll want to keep the house sealed tight to keep the inside warm and cozy for yourself, your family members, or any pets you may have lying around. Even if you wanted to try and do the installation during the later months, it would be bitter on the hands and freezing!

Are any of your old doors letting cold air rush through the sides of it? Has your door been damaged from any of summer’s past weather? You can replace it with a new door that’s warp-free and provides enough insulation so the weather keeps out and your heat stays in! A new door could also keep any unwanted pests or critters from sneaking in to get away from the cold, harsh nights upon them.

Also, October is National Energy Awareness Month! This is a great month to make sure the energy you’re provided doesn’t escape. It could save you the time, money, and energy of turning on your heaters or trying to wrap yourself in a bundle of blankets. No matter when you get it done, don’t wait. It’s better to stay warm and safe than to deal with the issue at the last minute. Windows Mania can handle your door installation.
